The Future is Now
Take a moment to imagine yourself five years from now. What does your life look like? What key changes did you implement at the start of this year to make that vision a reality?
Select ONE and write down the steps and commitments you plan to take to bridge the gap between now and then.
Mission Statement
If you were to create a personal mission statement for yourself this year, what would it say? Think of it as your guiding principle for focus and commitment.
What 1-2 of your core values will you be mindful about using to shape your decisions and actions in the next 3 months? Be as concrete as possible; by this, I mean think of examples.
Tools
Identify three specific changes you want to make this year. For each change, list the tools or resources you’ll need to implement and maintain them.
Reverse Engineering Success
Reflect on a significant achievement from the past year. What were the key choices or habits that led to that success? How can you apply those insights to your goals for this new year?
Accountability Partners
As the singer said years ago, “I get by with a little help from my friends.” So, who is going to be your help in meeting goals?
Write a list of potential accountability partners and what kind of support you’ll seek from each. What is your plan? Are you going to talk weekly or share a to-do spreadsheet? Remember that your journal provides a sort of accountability, but it won’t get on your case if you slough off on things.
